Hi! I’m Sarah, I graduated from UNCCH in 2020 with a bachelors in Public Health Nutrition, and then from Barry University with a masters in Biomedical Sciences in 2021. I am currently in the process of applying to medical school and pursuing my dream of becoming a physician. During my undergraduate years I started tutoring and mentoring a refugee student. Over the years our relationship has turned into a lifelong friendship. Ever since then, I’ve been striving to give back to the refugee community. Through this program I hope to be a valuable friend and mentor and help refugee students pursue their dreams of medical school by passing along the lessons I’ve learned thus far.
